Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into an agreement on acquisition of an existing concrete element factory in Gothenburg in Sweden effective 1 April 2008.
The purpose is to establish pile production with a view to supplying piles to Aarsleff’s own activities as well as to other piling contractors. In the area there is already a long tradition of using prefabricated reinforced concrete piles for foundation.
The first supplies have already taken place, and in the coming period the plant will be extended with a view to increasing the capacity. At the same time, production equipment will be installed, corresponding to the Aarsleff Group standard used in existing pile plants in Denmark, Poland and England.
The investments have been included in the already announced expectations for the investments of the financial year. The earnings impact of the establishment will not be seen until coming financial years.
