Phrases like "well planned" and "well executed" were used, and the quality of materials as well as the actual execution received praise when the Metro forecourts were awarded the paviour prize 2003.

The prize was presented to Ørestadsselskabet by the master of the paviour guild on 19 August 2003. In his speech the master of the guild emphasized the paved site surfaces as a piece of paving work where no compromise was made as to the quality and execution.

The forecourts were designed by architects KHR arkitekter, while the practical part of the work was implemented by the consortium APH-Konsortiet, which in addition to Aarsleff comprises our subsidiary Petri & Haugsted as. "Already at a very early time in the process we had a constructive, technical talk with the Metro consultants concerning the limitations as well as the possibilities involved in the forecourts as seen from a paviour’s point of view. Therefore we are very pleased that our member Petri & Haugsted as in cooperation with the Metro staff have achieved the results which we see today", said Master of the Paviour Guild Søren Rasmussen to the Danish newspaper Licitationen.
