In a joint venture with Ove Arkil A/S, Aarsleff has been awarded a contract on construction of the Jutland Motorway from Herning to Århus in Denmark.
The contract is the second of a number of contracts which are to be implemented across Jutland from the west to the east. The contract price is DKK73 million and comprises performance of all earthworks for a 10km stretch of motorway.
1.6 million m3 of soil and gravel will be handled and approx. 60 km of pipeline including five tunnels will be executed.
In addition to the above quantities, 6.5 km of roads and bicycle lanes are to be relocated including 3 roundabouts.
The project commences in May 2000 and shall be completed by autumn 2001.
