Announcement to The Copenhagen Stock Exchange
The Danish contracting group Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into and commenced a DKK 80 million contract with the water supply company Vodokanal in Lviv, Ukraine. The contract is mainly financed through World Bank funds.
Lviv is located in western Ukraine and has approx. 700,000 inhabitants. Part of the existing water supply system is almost 100 years old and unable to supply steady amounts of drinking water to the inhabitants.
The contract comprises extension and renovation of a small part of the water supply system in Lviv as well as renovation of nine pumping stations, including installation of new pumps and pipe systems. The majority of the contract consists of material supplies, which are all to be installed by local subcontractors, under the management of Aarsleff.
Aarsleff recently completed a similar water supply contract of the same size in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia.
