Aarsleff uses spot repair for pipes with single bursts, pipes in which protruding rubber rings have been removed or in order to limit root penetration. We also use spot repair for sealing off laterals.
Aarsleff Spot Repair consists of a short tube that is made of acid-proof polyester fibre impregnated with resin. The tube is tailored on site for the job in question.
The impregnated felt is mounted on the tool which, monitored by a CCTV camera, is pulled to the place that needs repair. When the tool is in position, the pressure in the tool is increased, and the spot repair is pressed into place. After this, the spot repair cures, and the tool can be retracted.
