As one out of three consortia Aarsleff and Dutch Ballast Nedam together were chosen to participate in the competition for the extension of Port of Rotterdam.

The project called Maasvlakte 2 is put out to tender as a Design & Construct contract, and next summer the three selected contracting consortia are to submit their tenders for the extensive marine construction project, which by way of comparison surpasses the Øresund Fixed Link in magnitude.

Portof Rotterdamexpects to enter into a contract in 2007. The actual construction work is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2008.
