Today, in general meeting, Per and Lise Aarsleff decided to retire from the Board of Per Aarsleff A/S.

Per Aarsleff, who turned 85 in 2003, started up his own business shortly after World War II. The company started mining lignite and then gradually changed into a civil engineering company domiciled in Århus, where Per Aarsleff A/S was founded in 1961. The company experienced a sound growth and went public in 1984. Today, at the retirement of Per Aarsleff, the company employs approx. 2,200 people and has an annual revenue of approx. DKK 3.1 billion.

Per Aarsleff remains in contact with the company through his position as chairman of Per og Lise Aarsleffs Fond. He will keep his office at the company headquarters and will remain a regular visitor to the company.

Lise Aarsleff, who turned 80 in 2003, has been a loyal and sympathetic wife throughout the years. She has always been an enthusiastic and qualified member of the Board of the company, having a distinct feeling that it is best to keep both feet on the ground.

Lise and Per Aarsleff celebrated their 60th anniversary on 28 December 2003. They represent a married couple, who together have produce great results while living a good family life with three daughters and grandchildren.
