In the spring of 2002, Aarsleff carried out one of the biggest CIPP linings ever in Denmark. The pipeline consisted of a 124-year-old, brick built, oval sewer pipe dimensioned 1,725 x 1,600 mm. The joints of the existing pipe were crumbling, and therefore, the 136 m long pipe did not live up to the functional requirements. The renewal was executed with a traditional water relining, and the installation lasted approx. five hours. After this, the liner cured for 1½ days followed by a cooling period of another 1½ days. Finally, the 32 laterals to the buildings in the street could be cut free.During the renewal work, Pipe Technologies established a 140 m long bypass pumping that transported approx. 400 litres of water per second.
