Aarsleff applies the IP liner for trenchless rehabilitation of pressure, process and drinking water pipes.

The IP liner is combined of an Aarsleff Tube and a strong, reinforced preliner.

The Aarsleff Tube is placed closest to the host pipe wall. Inside the Aarsleff Tube is the preliner. The Aarsleff Tube combines with the preliner to provide strength to the new pipe. The material used for the preliner complies with the requirements of the Danish Environmental Protection Agency concerning materials allowed in drinking water pipelines.

The installation is carried out from a scaffold placed above an excavated launch pit. First the impregnated Aarsleff Tube is pulled into the pipeline. The preliner is then inverted into the pipe by means of water pressure. When the tube is in place it is cured with hot water. After the curing, the tube is hard and abrasion-resistant with a smooth surface.
