The main pipe and the many laterals for the various buildings of a hospital in Aarhus were worn down after many years in service.
The main pipe was located under an underground tunnel at the hospital, which was used for transporting supplies between the different wards. In order to avoid disturbing the work in the tunnel and because of the depth of the main pipe, the hospital decided to have Aarsleff renew the main pipe and the many laterals with the Aarsleff CIPP Lining.
Aarsleff executed the work from manholes in the underground tunnel and renewed a total of 80 m of the main pipe and 50 m of laterals. In addition, Aarsleff implemented a pipe bursting in a damaged lateral.
The work was completed in five days without disturbing the daily operations in the tunnel and pipe system.
