Aarsleff was awarded a turnkey contract for design and construction of nine wastewater treatment plants in the eastern part of Latvia. The contract works included all civil, mechanical and electrical/SCADA works as well as commissioning, training and testing of all equipment.

The wastewater treatment plants are located in the cities of: Valmiera, Cesis, Sigulda, Salaspils, Limbazi, Livani, Aluksne, Dagda and Kegums.

Works under the contract

Construction of 9 wastewater treatment plants with a total capacity of 162,000 PE. The operation of the wastewater treatment plant is automatic and controlled by SCADA.

Pretreatment sections with mechanical equipment and aerated sand traps.

Tanks for biological treatment for N and P removal.

SS tanks for settling of sludge and solids.

Dewatering of sludge by means of belt press.
