In 1994-96 Aarsleff executed the project "Rehabilitation of Sewerage Pipes in Nevsky Prospect" in St. Petersburg.

The project comprised rehabilitation with Aarsleff CIPP lining of 6 km of sewer pipes. At the same time it was a chance for us to introduce trenchless pipe rehabilitation to the Russian market. A team of Russian workers were trained in TV inspection, cleaning and relining of sewer pipes as well as repair of laterals. 

The sewer system was located under a very busy street with eight lanes. Therefore Aarsleff CIPP was the obvious choice as it disturbes the surroundings only minimally and can be executed faster than traditional pipe rehabilitation.
