Aarsleff has executed several cable work contracts on Lolland, Denmark.

The most recent project was executed in connection with the establishment of Nysted Offshore Wind Farm at Rødsand off the coast of South Sealand. Power from 72 offshore wind turbines reaches the shore at Vantore Beach on southeastern Lolland.

Here, Aarsleff was responsible for the cable project from Vantore Beach to the transformer substation at Radsted. A stretch of 18.2 km. A total of three 132 kV cables and two casing pipes were pulled. Aarsleff performed horizontal directional drillings under all roads, watercourses and major soft-bed stretches. The project was carried out in the period from April to August 2002.

Last time Aarsleff executed cable works on Lolland was in 1999 where 39 km of cable installation was established.
