When the local authorities in Herning, Denmark and Danish Crown were to renew the sewer system below a slaughterhouse in Herning, it was important that the work could be implemented fast and without disturbing the production.
Several buildings were located on top of the old sewer system, which made it impossible to renew the pipelines by means of traditional excavation.
Therefore, Aarsleff renewed the pipelines below the slaughterhouse with the Aarsleff CIPP Lining. In order to maintain production at the slaughterhouse, the renewal was carried out over the Easter break when the slaughterhouse had its annual shut-down. The renewal of the 311 m of sewer pipes and the 20 laterals lasted 5 days.
