When Herning Municipality and Danish Crown were to renovate the sewer system below a slaughterhouse in Herning, Denmark, it was important that the work could be implemented fast and without disturbing the production.
Several buildings are located above the old sewer system, which made it impossible to renovate the pipelines by means of traditional excavation.
Therefore, Aarsleff renovated the pipelines below the slaughterhouse with the Aarsleff CIPP. In order to maintain production at the slaughterhouse, the renovation was carried out over the Easter break where the slaughterhouse has its annual shut-down. The renovation of the 311 m sewer pipes and the 20 laterals lasted 5 days.
