The Aarsleff Tube is made of acid-proof polyester fibre impregnated with resin. The tube is produced in all lengths and wall thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 50 mm. The tube can be sewn together enabling pipe stretches of different dimensions to be rehabilitated in one run. As such, it is possible to rehabilitate several hundred metres at a time.
The Aarsleff Tube is applicable to many types of pipeline, e.g. waste water and rainwater pipes. For industrial use Aarsleff applies a resin type that is adjusted to the chemical composition of the waste water.
The tube is installed from a scaffold over a manhole. The tube is inverted in soft condition into the defect pipe by means of water pressure. Once the tube is in place and cured it has become hard and abrasion-resistant with a smooth surface.
