As part of the general maintenance of the production equipment at a dairy in Holstebro, Denmark, 12 manholes had to be renewed. Five of these manholes were vital to the production, and therefore, they had to be renewed during a planned 24-hour production break.
Aarsleff applied the SprayWall method to the manholes. The method is trenchless and suited for renewal of manholes as well as buildings with corroded walls. SprayWall is sprayed on with a compressed-air spray pistol and cures in only a few seconds.
The work on the five manholes comprised sealing and brick-up work on the haunches, before the manholes were renewed within the planned 24-hour production break. The seven other manholes were renewed without interrupting the production.
