In the period from July this year to August 2005, Aarsleff Bygg- och Anläggnings AB is to extend Port of Gothenburg for a total value of approx. DKK103 million.
In general, the work comprises demolition of an approx. 400-meter quay construction including cantilever, approx. 500 metres of sheet piling, driving of approx.115 tubular steel piles and execution of approx. 15,000 m³ of concrete work and related earthworks.
The job in Gothenburg is the third Swedish harbour contract in a row. Earlier this year, Aarsleff Bygg- och Anläggnings AB commenced the reconstruction of Port of Halmstad (photo) and extension of Port of Malmö.
Aarsleff established the Swedish subsidiary Aarsleff Bygg- och Anläggnings AB, based in Limhamn in Malmö, in November 2000.
