All natural gas supplies from the Danish part of the North Sea pass through Nybro Gas Treatment Plant.
In 1998 DONG wanted to increase the capacity of natural gas supplies for the gas treatment plant, and Aarsleff was awarded a contract for extension and construction of a new terminal.
Aarsleff constructed the terminal while the existing gas treatment plant remained in operation with only one short suspension. The project required detailed planning, technical diligence and thorough coordination of the safety work. The contract was performed satisfactorily and in close cooperation with DONG's safety organisation.
